Keeping Young

Aging is something no one can avoid. We get older every day. But that doesn’t mean that it isn’t difficult. Sometimes it can get you down. So here are a few tips to keeping young:

  1. Exercise. Some people might disagree with this since the elderly, in general, are not as able-bodied as those younger than them, but this is precisely why they should exercise. This is to keep their muscle tone even and their bones, stance and shape intact so that they’ll still be physically able even as they grow older.
  2. Watch what you eat. When you’re older, your body loses its ability to metabolize and process what you take in, so you’ll want to eat less fattening foods and less alcohol so that you don’t get fat or get drunk easily. Lots of fibre is good, too, for cleansing the body.
  3. Take turmeric capsules every day. Turmeric is a miracle herb that is able to prevent dementia and Alzheimer’s, keeping your mind alert. This is best accompanied with reading and memory exercises.
  4. Get a face lift. People get wrinkles when they get older, so getting a face lift is an easy way to counteract this. Don’t feel comfortable going under the knife? You don’t have to! Find out more: http://www.ehaclinic.sg/faceliftsingapore/

Stop Snoring

Snoring can be a problem, not so much for you but for whoever is within hearing distance. It can be an annoyance as well as a symptom of a potentially fatal condition. Do yourself and your loved ones a favour. Follow these tips:

  1. Find out if you have sleep apnoea. Snoring can be a symptom of this fatal condition, which causes you to stop breathing in your sleep. So if you think that it’s something serious, pay a visit to your doctor.
  2. Try rhinoplasty. Altering the cavities in your nose can improve airflow. You’ll be able to sleep much better and you may even stop snoring. Don’t feel comfortable with surgery? Dermal fillers can be used instead! Find out more about that here: http://www.ehaclinic.sg/dermalfillers-rhinoplasty.
  3. Find time in the day tor rest. Sometimes snoring is a sign that you are fatigued. So within the day, find time to nap or even just rest – not necessarily sleep. This will improve your overall physical, mental and emotional health, too.
  4. Elevate your head when sleeping. The downward slanting and natural force of gravity will help prevent mucus from accumulating in your airways, preventing snoring. You don’t have to elevate to the point that you’re upright. Just make sure that your head is slightly higher than your body.

Avoiding Hair Loss

FUE Hair Transplant is available for people who have problems with baldness (find out more about that here: http://www.ehaclinic.sg/fuehairtransplantsingapore/). But what happens after? What does it take to keep your hair as full and as lush? Here are a few tips:

  1. Brush your hair. You should brush your hair when you have free time because the brushing action stimulates the follicles on your scalp to produce certain natural oils that nourish both your hair and your scalp, which will inevitably lead to more hair growth and better overall quality of hair. Plus, you’ll look well-kept and clean. Very impressive and attractive!
  2. Consult your doctor. Sometimes extreme hair loss can be attributed to certain medical conditions, so you’ll want to talk to your doctor to see if that’s the underlying cause so that you can get properly treated. Who know, you may even save your own life!
  3. Avoid heat. This means styling tools such as hairdryers. You don’t want to use these too often because, in general, these can damage both your hair and your scalp, leading to hair fall. So go natural whenever you can. If you’re planning to go out and it’s very, very hot, bring an umbrella or a hat that doesn’t fit too snugly on your head to protect your hair.

Fruits Juices - A New and Exciting Way to Lose Weight

Fruits are always a great addition to any healthy diet – especially if you want to lose weight. You might be thinking that it would be easier to just go to a clinic and have the extra weight removed in one go (you can find out more about that here: http://www.ehaclinic.sg/liposonixsingapore/). It is. But even if you do have that done, you’ll have to find a way to maintain the weight in a healthy and sustainable manner. Having fruit and vegetable juices in place of certain meals is great for that. Here are a few tips to get you started:

  1. Have your fruit juices for breakfast. Fruits are great for breakfast because they have natural sugars which are a form of energy that your body can readily and easily absorb for the morning, giving you the jumpstart you need to have a great and productive day.
  2. Choose ripe fruits. Riper fruits tend to be sweeter, so you’ll want to pick those so that you won’t have to add any extra sugar.
  3. Try adding milk to turn them into fruit shakes. This makes the drink more delicious and gives you a good source of protein and calcium. You need protein at least once a week for your body to synthesize and keep your muscles healthy and strong.

Getting Clearer Skin

Most people experience having acne during their teen years, but adult onset acne is common as well. It’s nothing to be ashamed about – it can happen to anyone at any time. Here are a few tips to helping you deal with your acne:

  1. Get the right amount of sleep. A lot of times you’ll find that pimples will pop up after an all-nighter. Is this coincidental? Probably not. So give yourself the right amount of time to rest. You’ll be doing yourself and others a huge favour by not being cranky due to lack of sleep.
  2. Drink plenty of water. In general, keeping yourself hydrated improves your complexion, so drinking at least 1-2 litres of water in a day would help.
  3. Reduce your stress levels. Sometimes being stressed can cause you to break out, so find ways to diffuse the tension. You could try meditating – or simply finding a quiet place to rest and centre yourself. Exercise is also good for you – it give you more energy throughout the day and improves your mood.

In general, treating your acne has a lot to do with improving your overall health. Sometimes they’ll leave scars (but you can get rid of those: http://www.ehaclinic.sg/lutronicmosaic-eco2-acnescartreatment) but at least you’ll be happy knowing that you live a healthy life.

Cosmetic Surgery Tips

Cosmetic surgery is great for people who have a certain look they want to achieve. It can be exciting, but you don’t want to rush into things. Here are a few things you may want to look into before making any decisions or plans:

  1. Don’t let other people’s opinions get you down. Some people have very strong opinions about cosmetic surgery. Some of your close friends or family members may have strong opinions about it as well. But that shouldn’t be the thing that stops you. If it will make you happy, go for it. If these people really care about you, they’ll respect your decision.
  2. Find out what you can about the clinic. Any reputable clinic should have a website that states clearly what they offer and how each procedures work, how they’re done, pre and post-surgery protocol and contact information like this one: http://www.ehaclinic.sg/about
  3. Consider your tolerance for pain. Even though most clinics use anaesthetic, the fact that they operate on very sensitive parts of the body, such as the face or the breasts, means it’s going to be painful. Are you willing to suffer for your looks? Think about it.
  4. Find out what you can about the surgeon. His credentials should be readily available on the website of his company or on his social media accounts. Find out if he’s ever had complaints filed against him.

Skin Care 101

Your skin is the largest organ of your body – it covers it – so, naturally, it has a lot to do with how you look. But many different factors – such as stress and aging – can cause it to become dry, wrinkled, etc. (Though, you could counteract this with a face lift, which you can find out more about here: http://www.ehaclinic.sg/faceliftsingapore/) Here are a few tips for better skin care:

  1. Eat fruits and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables contain vitamins and minerals that are good for your skin – nourish, make it brighter, make it more supple.
  2. Clean your skin. Shower with soap. Clogged pores can lead to pimples and other unwanted blemishes on your skin.
  3. Get the right amount of sleep. Lack of sleep can cause eye bags, which can cause wrinkles around the eye area.
  4. Drink plenty of water. Keep your skin hydrated at all times. It looks much better and this is better for your overall health.
  5. Don’t do crash diets. Going from overweight to super thin in a short amount of time is not only unhealthy but bad for your skin. Your muscle and skin tone will have to have changed drastically, so they’ll sag.
  6. Exercise regularly. This will improve the overall muscle and skin tone of your body.
  7. Go outside on nice, sunny days. On a day when it’s not too hot but the sun is shining, go outside for a walk. The sun’s rays gives off Vitamin D which is specifically good for your skin.

Beating Your Allergies

Do you suffer from allergies without really knowing what causes them? It can be really difficult to interact with people and do work if you have to blow your nose all the time. So here are a few tips you can try to relieve your sinuses:

  1. Make sure your space is clean. Almost everyone reacts to dust and pollens. So make sure that, at least, your home and work space are both clean so you can be relaxed in these environments. If you have to be the one to clean them, you can wear a mask (like the ones surgeons wear, not the ones you wear on Halloween).
  2. Increase your level of physical activity. This might seem counterintuitive, but getting your body used to exercise improves your breathing – the circulation of air in your body. Plus, fresh air has the tendency to clear up your sinuses. If you think there are too many allergens outside, just exercise in the comfort of your home.
  3. Consider getting rhinoplasty. Altering the shape of your nasal cavity can actually help with the flow of air when you breathe, so it can relieve you of your symptoms. Not so keen on the idea of going under the knife? You don’t have to! Dermal fillers can be used instead! Find out more about that here: http://www.ehaclinic.sg/dermalfillers-rhinoplasty

Preventing Hair Loss

You might be under the impression that your beautiful locks will always be with you. This is not the case. As you get older, you will lose more and more hair. Not to mention the possibility of premature baldness. It happens, and it could happen to you. If it gets to this point, you could go for FUE Hair Transplant (find out more about that here: http://www.ehaclinic.sg/fuehairtransplantsingapore/). But before it gets to that, here are a few tips you can try:

  1. Use shampoos that have natural ingredients. Shampooing is something you can’t avoid since you have to remove the dirt that accumulates. But the chemicals used in some shampoos could be damaging your hair. Shampoos with natural ingredients are the safest because they can’t really damage it. If your scalp gets irritated, just switch to another.
  2. Avoid using products on your hair. Styling products such as clay, gel and hairspray should be avoided because these could damage your hair as well as make it sticky and harder to clean. All natural is always the best way to go.
  3. Brush your hair with care. Brushing your hair is good for it because it stimulates your scalp, causing it to produce substances that nourish it and make it smoother, but you should be careful not to tug on your hair if it ever gets tangled in the brush because, for obvious reasons, this could lead to more hair loss.

Tips to Getting Fit

If you’re looking to shed pounds, and I’m sure you’ve heard this many times, the best way to do so is by increasing your level of physical activity. Exercise. Go to the gym. Unless you’re willing to spend for liposonix (find out more about that here: http://www.ehaclinic.sg/liposonixsingapore/) it’s really the best way. So here are a few tips to help you get started:

  1. If you’re doing weight training, only do it every other day. Do not lift weights two days in a row. Your body needs at least 24 hours to rebuild and rest. This is most effective and you lessen the risk of you injuring yourself, which will prevent you from exercising for a long time ruining all your efforts.
  2. If you’re not so into the idea of going to the gym and running on a treadmill, you could try going for Zumba. Zumba is a dance-style exercised that combines aerobics with Latin dances and it burns lots and lots of calories. Plus, it’s a lot of fun and you don’t need to know how to dance.
  3. Know when to call it quits. There isn’t any point in pushing yourself way over your limit. You’ll only injure yourself. You have to give your body the time it needs to rest and regenerate or your overall health will suffer.

Tips to Help Get Rid of Your Acne

Nobody really knows what causes acne. We can make intelligent guesses and observations, but there isn’t much scientific evidence to make strong connections so the following tips are really just general things you can do to improve your overall health and take better care of your skin:

  1. Avoid fatty and oily foods. While there is no real scientific connection between eating oily foods and getting pimples, there is a very real connection between these foods and general deterioration of health. So to help your body fight whatever opportunistic bacteria that may be causing your acne, eat healthy. You’ll be doing yourself a huge favour.
  2. Keep your phone away from you while you’re sleeping. Not only does the sound of you getting messages keeping you up at night, but the radiation also affects your brain waves and, therefore, your sleeping patterns, which, if you notice, does have something to do with a surprise pop-up pimple the next day. Let yourself have a good night’s sleep and put the phone away.
  3. Do not touch your pimples. It can be very tempting to pop them, but if you do you may get acne scars. While this is something you can fix (find out more about that here: http://www.ehaclinic.sg/lutronicmosaic-eco2-acnescartreatment) you’re better off not having them at all. Plus, your face will be more irritated and you’ll be spreading whatever germs were in that pimple to the surrounding area of skin, increasing the chances of getting even more pimples.
  4. Eat more fruits and vegetables. They’re filled with vitamins and minerals that improve the overall quality of your skin.

Cosmetic Surgery

Deciding to get cosmetic surgery can be exciting and might be just the thing you need to get that extra boost of confidence. But it’s also something that needs a lot of thought and research:

  1. Find out more about the clinic that you’re planning to have the procedure at. Any reputable one should have an easy to access “About” page like this one: http://www.ehaclinic.sg/about
  2. Find out everything you can about pre and post-surgery. What needs to be done right before the procedure and what happens right after? You should know.
  3. Make a pros and cons list. Like it can give you confidence but it’s expensive. It can fix certain physical problems, but it also has some risks. Just think it through and list them down, even the little things.
  4. Find out everything you can about the procedure itself. Try and understand the science behind the procedure, understand what’s going to be done and why. Ask the surgeon. He/she should be able to answer you and be able to explain the science behind it. If they can’t, go somewhere else because: do you really want a surgeon who can’t explain these things to you to be operating on you? Of course not.

Yes, finding out all these things is massively important, but that shouldn’t let the idea of cosmetic surgery scare you. It can be good for you with proper care and research. Good luck!

Taking off Extra Pounds the Easy Way

Losing weight can be intimidating. Wherever you look you see the same thing: diet, exercise, diet exercise. Well, while there are immediate ways to getting down to the size you want (http://www.ehaclinic.sg/zeltiqcoolsculptingsingapore/) there are also little, more sustainable things you can do to help. Here are a few of them:

  1. Find an exercise buddy. Exercising always seems to be a pain, but it will seem less so if you have someone there with you to support you and police you. When you and your buddy are chatting away, time will pass much faster. You’ll have gone through an hour’s worth of exercise in no time.
  2. Buy yourself a piece of clothing that you like that doesn’t fit you and hang it somewhere where you can see it. This will give you motivation. A good place to put this piece of clothing is somewhere near the kitchen. That way, if you’re ever tempted to snack you’ll see the dress and think twice.
  3. Add more fruits and vegetables to your diet. Vitamins and minerals, which are contained in many (if not all) fruits and vegetables, can actually help with weight loss. Plus, they’re high in fibre, which will help you cleanse your body of toxins and they’re generally low calorie but filling.

It’s all about improving your diet, not starving yourself. A small, gradual changes are much more sustainable than any crash diet, and infinitely healthier.

3 Ideas to Help You Lose Weight

Losing weight can be very challenging, especially with all the delicious food out there! So, to help you shed those holiday pounds, here are a few tips:

  1. Avoid unhealthy food. If you can just cut out sugary drinks, salty food, junk food and fast food from your diet, you’ll lose many pounds. You don’t even have to scrimp on normal meals. Just cut out the unhealthy stuff.
  2. Indulge yourself once in a while. This may seem counterintuitive, and seem to go against the point above, but you should allow yourself to eat whatever unhealthy food you like once in a while. If you completely deprive yourself you may end up binge-eating, and this will translate to weight gain. So indulge once in a while and in moderation.
  3. Find yourself a hobby. Some people find themselves at the bottom of a tub of ice cream after an upsetting day, so you should find better ways to lift your mood like a new hobby .

So, hopefully, these tips will help you. Just remember: don’t give up. Losing weight the healthy, sustainable way takes time. It just takes patience, determination and discipline. If all else fails try this non-surgical clinical treatment that helps you lose weight almost instantly: http://www.ehaclinic.sg/zeltiqcoolsculptingsingapore/ Good luck and happy new year!
